Our Africa Day Festival - AFROFEST is an annual event in the heart of Sofia , offering a vibrant celebration. Gathering the African community in the country, along with the ever-growing interest in all things African by the Bulgarian people, it is a showcase comprising a bazaar and cultural dialogue , music and dance stage performances.
Since 2017, we have proudly organized this event to honor Africa's rich diversity and heritage, commemorating the African Union's formation on 25th of May . Besides an array of dynamic mix of African and Bulgarian stage performances, this year we are thrilled to announce that AFROFEST is expanding to include performers from Africa. The highlight of the festival is the Afro Bazaar - offering beaded jewelry, crafts, souvenirs, textiles, fashion, and delectable African dishes, sweets, and beverages. Visitors can enjoy activities as henna tattoos, afro braids, coffee reading fortune telling, face painting, and a thrilling tombola with authentic African prizes.

Albena International Ltd is the chief organizer of the event for Africa. We will be looking to partner up with local organizations, influencers , and celebrities in each African country hosting the event. Once established the activity will remain in the calendar as an annual event of the country. We plan to hold a two-day event - Business networking activities on the first day to set the stage for the Award ceremony as an evening gala dinner event on the second day.
This transformative platform for elevating African business and recognising African women who have excelled in any area of business or their local community allows us to award them for their hard work, excellence, and contribution. Each year, we will elevate 15 outstanding females in each participating county.

Adding to the excitement, international cosplay judges will evaluate the participants' artistry on a global stage.
Beyond the vibrant cosplay scene, ANICON Africa offers a deeper connection to Japanese traditions through immersive cultural experiences. Guests can marvel at the elegance of a tea ceremony , admire the beauty of a kimono fashion show, and feel the energy of K-pop dances . The event also provides opportunities to explore interactive art forms, as origami , calligraphy , and other visual crafts that capture the essence of Japanese creativity. Appealing to all age groups, ANICON Africa is more than an event—it is a unique celebration that connects fans across three continents in anime appreciation and a profound respect for Japanese culture.
